According to the Color Career Counselor, a non-language color-based career testing system, career paths can be figured out through color preferences. Instead of using questionnaires, it uses colors to find out the perceptions you have and unveils your inner motivations.
How does it work?
This instrument turns out to be so simple. All you need to do is click at the color you prefer the most. The choices are red, yellow, and blue. After that, your favorite secondary color: purple, green or orange, then any of the achromatic colors-black, white or brown.
The most preferred color indicates your approach on each task. It indicates your talents and how you prioritize them. In addition, it shows what you overdo the most when you feel excited.
If you choose yellow, it means that you are driven by information. For red, it suggests that you are driven by results. Blue means that you are driven by ideas. Green says you evaluate situations in a realistic way. Purple may stand up for fact-finding possibilities.
Orange suggests you are for examining feasibilities. For black, it means you choose value among others. If you choose white, it means you like to have options. For brown, it suggests you like to implement and accomplish tasks.
What about least preferred colors?
Orange means you commit yourself too much that you do several things at once. Green indicates fixing your colleagues' works instead of making themselves do it. Teal shows you need to prove you are competent and you do not mind what others think.
What you need to know about yourself?
This system may show if you are the researcher, creator, social manager, doer, organizer or persuader. Choosing yellow, purple or white means you act as the communicator. The career that suits you best may range from corporate communications, marketing to religious occupations.
You are an investor if you choose red, green and black. It gives you an analytical personality which makes you fit in the fields of finance, accounting, banking, manufacturing, property management, product sales, production analysis, consulting, teaching and money management.
Choosing blue, orange and brown shows that you are an activist. Considering being an engineer, builder and developer of new programs or products, law enforcer, firefighter, government or social worker suits you the best.
