Career Training Opportunities in the U.S Armed Forces

The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard each offer training that can be very helpful in a young adults future career. All enlistees must take the The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to determine which career path is most suitable for an individual. Once a young adult is in, his training will lead to a military job called a Military Occupational Specialty or MOS.
However, before you enlist, think and re-think if a career in the military is really for you. Do not be swayed by the glossy brochures handed out by recruiters. Research on articles that express how it really is in the military.
United States Army
The U.S. Army offers a variety of career paths that an individual may choose to follow. Explore the US Army's website to find out the qualifications an individual needs to be able to join, the list of Army jobs, and, perhaps, most importantly, research on how these Army jobs can translate to a job in the civilian world. As of now, there are about 150 josb in the US Army. Here are the general categories:
