Some say that the gateway to a good life is education. On the other hand, education alone is not enough. The world is in constant change and everybody these days are always ramping up, always connected, always on the go. We have become busier and a mere college degree is not enough for one's credentials be consider as good.
How can we make sure that our child's life will be as good or rather better than ours? The answer is through preparation and focusing on the aspects that gives more certainty for one to attain success. The five competencies
The table pronounces requites that a parent must to a large extent secure in order to provide the needs of their children. Resources must be at all times must be sufficient or rather more than enough. Time to spend with the children is a constant must.
It is the only way to know what do they need more and focus on their other needs especially with regard to emotional needs. Money is a must. It is what we use to buy things that we need. A child's needs grow bigger and bigger as she or he grow up. Hence, we always have to make sure that we have sufficient funds for our child's needs.
Material and Facility Resources is another thing to focus on. Parents must understand that the demands today are miles different than what is demanded from them when they we're still studying. Laptop is not a luxury but a need. Cellular phones and car as much as possible have to be provided not for their comfort alone but for their availability and connectivity not only towards the family but to others as well.
Human Resources if possible must be provided especially for disabled children. It is also important for your child to know your family connections such as the family doctor and lawyer. Mind that teaching our child to be independent is a must.
Interpersonal communication
Interpersonal Communication is must for a child to learn. Learning how to socialize is not just about partying and knowing the right people. It is about working and having the ability to face different types of people. Teach your child how to be a good follower because only through that she will learn how to become a good Leader.
For we do know that in reality being a leader is not all about giving orders but serving, helping other people who are in need of guidance and assistance. It is through one's superb Interpersonal Communication as well can one be noticed. The way she talks, express herself especially the body language of the person talking that she will stand out.
Information
Hence, superb education is a must. More importantly to improve the child's skill in acquiring and evaluating the proper information, organizing and maintaining what has been learn, understanding the information given, communicating or rather sharing what has been learn and more importantly the ability to use technology in processing the information that has been learned.
Systems
Every organization has coordination. It is then essential for your child to know the different kinds of system around. Through knowing how things are being done we can assure that our children will know what to do at times of anxiety due to problems that other people may give to them because they know how things are being done especially the laws.
Monitoring and Correcting Performance is a priceless skill. The ability of the child to know where to improve more and the capacity to monitor her or his performance level gives more assurance for her success. Improve and Designing Systems is yet another remarkable skill to gain expertise. Since there is nothing certain but change we must encourage our child to think about working on matters through proper and revolutionary approach if the situation requires.
Technology
Everyone is connected, on the go and the world is getting smaller everyday through technology innovation. It is therefore imperative for our children to be knowledgeable with the new equipments as it will give them the advantage at work.
Basic Skills, Thinking Skills and Personal Qualities are the three foundation skills that every parent must focus. Tell them what benefit their hard work will give them in the future. It is vital that our children understand the importance of it so that they will be more motivated at doing their best.
