Improve and increase your skill sets. In a job market that is getting tighter and tougher at the same time, a hiring manager will be looking for a certain candidate who has exactly the right skill set required in the company.
Be seen even beyond your workplace
Job seekers nowadays tend to create a network of contacts like joining an organization or getting a blog associated with your career goals published. You may as well offer your services to the media. In exchange for that, you may even get to improve your own trademark or brand and even get to help you in your future career.
Keep your resume updated
Instead of having your resume remade during times when you seek for a job, update it immediately whether you are employed or otherwise. It has to have your recent job title and your accomplishments. That will make your resume on-the-go.
Update your skills
When it comes to your skills, always have them updated as much as possible. Several people tend to overlook their skills, thinking that the skills they have earned from their recent jobs will suffice. But what they do not know is that they need to develop it even more.
