If your main work is in the field of teaching, you might want to consider becoming an online tutor. There is a demand for online tutors who may be be able to teach a variety of subjects ranging from high school math to even creative writing. Online tutors can be done as a part-time gig that can supplement your main job. What makes it more convenient is that the job can be done right from your own home while going online.
Answering Service
Some offices now offer people to handle their incoming calls such as medical clinics and apartment complexes. This can be a part-time job easily done at home. All you need to do is to answer incoming calls, take note of them and then forward them to employers. This work at home gig is usually offered for taking after office hours type of incoming calls. All you would need is a phone line and your time after work to do this relatively easy job at home.
Scheduler
You can also do part time work by becoming a scheduler. Other people may be too busy to handle appointment times and making their schedules. Some of them may hire one person to do it for them. You may want to take this job on a part -time basis handling and setting appointment schedules and updating them when necessary for clients.

If your forte is writing, then you might want to do some part-time freelance writing. There are magazines and even websites that require quality content for just about any subject. You can try and pick out writing part-time for magazines and even blogs where you can earn some extra income from.
