Looking at a performance review in a negative light will not fully achieve its actual purpose which is to help develop the careers of each employees. Through a performance review, managers and employers will not only be able to learn about the strengths of the employees but their weaknesses as well. This will help managers to provide the necessary training that an employee might need in order to improve and enhance the necessary skills and knowledge required by the company. This would require effective communication between the employee and the manager, employer or whoever handles the performance review.
