Costly Job Seeker Mistakes

Firing Before Aiming
Many job seekers make the mistake of sending job resumes just about to every job openings out there. Sure, this would usually land some interviews with employers. But most of the time, such job seekers fail to land the job either because they are not qualified or the job isn't just for them. Rejections mount for job seekers who don't specify the job openings they want to apply for beforehand.
Poor Appearances
When it comes to meeting with possible employers, it pays to come in a more conservative appearance that should fit right into the job applied for. Some job seekers appear during interviews in outfits that may be deemed too casual, sexy or outrageous. Try to dress according to the position that you are being interviewed for.
Applying For The Sake Of It
Many job seekers also make a mistake of applying just for the sake of having a job. Being rejected for more than several times can become a bit depressing. In order to improve your chances, you should try to target job openings specifically to those that you would really love doing.
Talking Negatively About Past Jobs
Job seekers should avoid trying to talk badly about their previous employers, especially during interviews. That won't hold out well for the job seeker. Whether you didn't like your previous employer is not something that you should be bringing up in your next job interview. It may tell a lot about you and how you might treat your next employer.
