Searching for a job in a tough job market may take quite some time. For the time being that no possible opportunities present itself, you may want to improve your chances on landing better jobs. You might be able to revitalize your own job search by following these tips.

Work on your weak points by taking classes or workshops.

Some job recruiters may not be answering back to your job applications because they might have seen some of your weak points that they think would be such an important requirement for the job. Instead of crying over them, why don't you try to improve them while waiting for that next job opportunity? You can try identifying and then working on your weak points to improve them while trying to search for newer job positions. Improving on your weak points may help revitalize your search for a new job by offering an improved version of "you" to job recruiters.

Revisit your previous job applications.

When you have extensively search for new job openings, sent out your job applications and nothing else are currently available, you may want to give your previous job applications a visit. You might want to follow up on some companies that you've sent your job resumes to a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes it only takes a little bit of follow up on some applications to help improve your chances on getting hired.

Extend your search towards a broader network.

Your job search may have led you to asking from friends and relatives for possible job openings that they may know. If that avenue has somehow been exhausted you might try to broaden your search to a bigger network. You might try to ask former colleagues at work or former college classmates that you can contact. You may also try out reaching out to certain professional organizations to inquire about possible job openings.
