The Worst Job Hunting Tips

Giving Away Everything
Job seekers make the mistake in trying to provide all the information they can squeeze on their job resume. This may not be necessary. All it takes is offering the type of job information and experiences that the job being applied for requires. You do not have to create a very long job resume for effect to say that you are the right person for the job. This can sometimes even work against you.
Not Bringing Money Issues
It is a common advice for job seekers not to mention salary and wage issues on interviews. This might be applicable during the first interview when the hiring manager would initially want to know more about you. But bringing up the issue of money associated with the job might be necessary at least during the second interview. The last thing that you would want is grumble after getting the job and not getting paid right. The last thing that companies want is also getting people not contented with what they are being paid for. The money issue is important and it should be addressed up front.
Waiting For Callbacks
Another common job advice but may turn out to be a mistake is by waiting for a call back from a company before responding. Waiting for that call back can sometimes take some time and may never even be coming. By then you may have been waiting for nothing. It would be better if you make follow up calls to make sure where you stand on the job opening. If the hiring manager has informed you of no calls necessary, you can still try contacting someone else in the office to try and get word. Hiring managers can sometimes forget unless they are being notified in some way.
