Google New Work From Home Program Scam
Posted in Online Job Search
The economic recession has really battered a lot of Americans and their way of life. Many people for so long have felt that they were in a stable condition economically up until the recession came up and led many people to head down the unemployment line. People are not so sure anymore where their life will lead to with this economic recession still ongoing and with possible employment and job openings getting rarer by the day. Too bad most people are also becoming more susceptible to online scams such as the so-called Google Work From Home Program.
The scam starts with news articles saying that Google has recently released a new Work From Home Program for people living in the US that will allow them to earn right in the comfort of their own homes. This would provide some much needed income to many unemployed Americans that have their own PC and Internet connection at home. The job does not require specialized skills other than the most basic ones required to run a PC. The job usually requires such simple and straightforward tasks as posting links.
The Google Work From Home Program is said to be available for thousands of Americans willing to spend some time working for the online search company from their homes. Applicants are required to get the Google Work From Home Kit after paying US$2.95 for shipping. The payment is said to be a way for the online search giant to screen out people who are really willing to work for them and separate those who may just be wasting their time.
After paying and receiving the Google Work From Home Kit and following the instructions that come with the package, people are then required to set up their own Google accounts and will be given website links to post. Payment would be dependent on how many links each person makes on a regular basis. Google then would be sending out checks on a weekly basis or can wire them directly to their home employee's checking accounts.
The ease and simplicity of the program sounds too good to be true. In fact, it actually is not true at all. Google is not hiring people to post links at home. The said kit as said in an advertisement of sorts posing as a news article is in no way connected to the online search giant an is only a sinister means to attract people. Here's an useful article from Snopes that is worth reading to keep you from falling into this online scam.
