There are certain facts to consider regarding maternity and paternity leave. As it is based on every legislative code concerning what an employee is entitled for in such a circumstance. Below are few tips on how you can take and prepare for a maternity and paternity leave.

Be aware of your company contract. You should have enough knowledge of the supposed vacation leave will be covered. (Note that an employee has to have been employed for about 52 consecutive weeks before they can be entitled to a maternity or paternity leave.)

That is, whether you would want to be given a part-time schedule upon return or a different schedule that you think will work for you. Such a decision depends totally on what you want.
