The world has become more hectic every day. Everyone is always connected, everyone is always on the go. The more we've become exposed to technology or rather the ways to make tings easier for us the more people or rather our bosses expect more from us.
The pressure at work just bite at times that some employees opt not to go to work, call in and express some lie in order to be excused being subject to pressure, tiring, boring thing that they do everyday. Most employers believe whatever their workers say to be excused from work.
Yet, others does not fall with the classic call on the phone with coughing anymore. Some in fact ask for a medical certificate and worse even visits the employee at home so to make sure that s/he is telling the truth.
The best excuse an employee may give to avoid the risk of being caught not telling the truth, having a wretched reputation and losing his or her job is to tell the truth. The employer would most likely appreciate and probably give the employee the time off that s/he needs after hearing the truth. Meanwhile, if you are really up for not telling the truth the following are the most unusual excuses to pitch in.
His sister is dying.
Got stuck on an island.
Got sick because his dog was not feeling well and when he tasted the food he got food poisoned as well.
He does not have clothes to wear because his roommate locked all his clothes when they fought.
She got so depressed when her favorite contestant in American Idol was voted out of the game.
I have a flat tire.
His ear got an infected when the circus tiger urinated at his ear.
